 Robert A. “Bob” Good, 86 of Prospect, died Monday June 29, 2026 at the Meadows of Marion.
He was born September 19, 1939 in Marion to the late George D. and Nellie Irene (Lane) Good. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Good and siblings, Charles Good, Richard E. Good and Geraldine Hecker.
Bob was a 1958 graduate of the Elgin High School, a 4-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Enterprise, and then retired from the Anheuser-Busch Recycling Corp.
Bob loved to fish and being around water and restoring antiques. He was very active; he greatly enjoyed walking every morning.
The Good family would like to thank the nurses and aides from The Wyndmoor of Marion, The Meadows of Marion, and Tranquility Hospice for their loving care of Bob.
Surviving are his children, Jeff (Debbie) Good, Prospect, James (Kay) Good, South Carolina, Jennifer (Neal Doty) Good, Marion and Erick (Trisha) Good, Richwood.
Grandchildren: Courtney (Joe) Pheifer, Ryan (Sarah) Good, Ashley (James) Mannier, Tony (Maggie) Good, Kayla (Dustin) Moore, Axel Ralph Good, and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews,
Graveside services will be held Monday July 6, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Prospect Cemetery. Pastor Steve Whitaker will officiate. There will be Military Honors by the Vietnam Veterans of America #1095.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Thursday July 2, 2026 from 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect.

I am glad I had the opportunity to spend a little time with Bob last week. Thank you for allowing me to serve you all at this time. I will be praying for the whole family.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. He was such a kind soul. He was always the first person to say good morning when I walked into work, and he would always wink when I would say "good morning handsome ". He will be missed.
