William “Andy" Thompson Jr. 88, of Radnor, died Saturday September 20, 2025 at his home. He was born Aug 13, 1937 near Magnetic Springs, to the late Katherene (Shark) and William A. Thompson Sr. Andy was also preceded in death by siblings,  Eddie Thompson, Ersy Reed, Mary Kratowicz and Becky LaRue. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruby (Davis) Thompson, sons, Bill Thompson of Radnor, John (Marjorie) Thompson of Prospect, Ron (Lisa) Thompson of Radnor and Jim (Keri) Thompson of Galena. Grandchildren, Tara (Cliff) Horrmann, Brad Thompson, Nicole (Tyler) Thompson, Kevin (Corinne) Thompson and Reese Thompson. Great grandchildren, Kelsey, Colton, Carlee. Sister, Patty Graham and sister-in-law, Margaret Thompson. Andy served as a Thompson Township Trustee for 52 years. He had worked at BF Goodrich/Parker Hannifin/Stratoflex in Green Camp for 42 years. Andy was a lifelong farmer in Thompson Township having planted and harvested 75 seasons on the family farm. He graduated from Radnor High School where he played varsity basketball three years. He was a member of the Richwood Church of Christ. Friends may call from 4 to 7 on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Private services will be held at the funeral home in Richwood. Chaplain Erika Snyder will officiate. Burial will take place in the Shoup (Thompson Township) Cemetery.
