Alvin "Alfie" Payne II
Alvin Deer HuntingAlvin “Alfie” Payne II, 42 of Richwood, OH departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence.

He was born May 16, 1974 in Madison, WV a son of Alvin Payne and the late Lara Roberts Brozzo.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph & Velma Roberts and Leonard Payne, and one brother, Jason Payne.

Alfie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He looked forward to deer hunting every November. with his two sons and dad at his farm in Ritchie County, WV. Alfie had a passion for cooking and loved his dog Gus.

In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory include his grandmother, Olive Payne; two sons, Alvin “Ross” Payne and Gabe Daniel Payne; one sister, Carlin “Sissy” Facey; and two brothers, Joseph Tyler and Leonard Payne.

Services will be held at 1 pm, Friday, November 11, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home with Dewey Adkins and Ricky Conley officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Family Cemetery, Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 12 – 1 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Hanna, Ross Payne, Gabe Payne, Kade Cope and Wes Cope.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements

The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is serving the family locally.

SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, I DIDN'T KNOW HIM PERSONALLY, BUT I GREW UP WITH THE PAYNE FAMILY AND LOVE THEM DEARLY.  PRAYERS FOR STRENGTH TO GET YOU THRU THIS TIME OF GREAT SORROW. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO LOSE A CHILD PRAYERS FOR YOU ALVIN
