Kenneth E. Jerew
Kenneth E. JerewRichwoodGandGKenneth E. Jerew, age 89, resident of Byhalia for over 55 years, died Friday morning, May 3, 2013 at the Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville.  He was born August 25, 1923 in Marion County to the late William and Martha Della (Douglas) Jerew.

On February 24, 1951 he married the former Mildred E. Patrick in Marion and she died July 2, 1995.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Marion, and Robert; and two sisters, Hazel Jerew and Maxine Wood.

He was a member of the former McKendree United Methodist Church and was currently a member of York Center United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of the Richwood Gun and Game Club.  He worked as a set-up man at Whirlpool, retiring in 1990 after 32 years.  Kenny was a well-known gardener who sold apple cider and sweet corn from his house on Route 31.

He is survived by two sons, David (Kay) Jerew, Prospect; Kevin (Vickie) Jerew, Richwood; grandsons, Chris, Tim, Brad and Mark; a sister, Patty Basinger, Kenton; a brother, Jud (Dolores) Jerew, Green Camp; and a sister-in-law, Grace Jerew, Richwood.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Noon at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Bryan Meadows officiating.  Burial will follow in York Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Memorial gifts may be made to Richwood Gun and Game Club, P. O. Box 112, Richwood, OH  43344.
