James Darrell Patterson
James Darrell PattersonNavyJames Darrell Patterson, age 64 of Richwood, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at OSU Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  He was born December 14, 1946 in Seattle, Washington to the late Eugene Leonard and Helen Ella (Murray) Patterson.

He proudly served in the U. S. Navy Submarine Service on U. S. S. Redfish 395 from 1963 to 1967.  He was an excellent maintenance electrician and worked in industrial plants from San Diego to Atlanta.  He married his wife, Suzanne in 1994 in Nottingham, England.  They lived in Kansas City where he worked for United Rotary Brush until he was transferred to the Marysville plant and they moved to Richwood in 1997.  Jim loved his pets, Alex, Indie, Tash, Mama and Ace.  He loved to ride his motorcycle, which was his pride and joy, and he loved his wife and his family, not necessarily in that order.

There will be no immediate formal services.  A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.  The family is being assisted by Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Richwood Civic Center, 235 Grove Street, Richwood, OH  43344.
