Bernice C. Harmon
Bernice C. HarmonBernice C. Harmon, age 93, formerly of LaRue, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday March 23, 2011 at 3:55 PM at Green Hill Center in West Liberty, Ohio.  She was born near Mt. Victory, Ohio on her father’s farm on October 2, 1917 to the late Phillip C. and Elizabeth (Temple) Johnson.  On January 28, 1941 she married George O. Harmon and he died on September 13, 1999.  

They first resided near Hepburn. In the 50’s they moved to George’s family farm near LaRue. In the 80’s they moved to Harpster, Ohio.

She is survived by her sister, Pauline R. Clement of Marion and sister-in-law Alice Johnson of Kenton along with a niece Carolyn Stokes of Bellefontaine, a nephew Ron Johnson of Dunkirk and many great nieces and nephews.

Bernice enjoyed being a farmer’s wife. Doing her homemaking skills and all of the extras that it takes for a farming family. She was member of the Rhinehart United Methodist Church and attended the Harpster United Methodist Church.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday March 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the LaRue Cemetery. Minister will be Pastor Jackie Underhill.  The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue is helping the family with arrangements. There will be no calling hours.

Those who wish may make contributions to either the Rhinehart United Methodist Church or the Harpster United Methodsit Church.

So sorry to hear of Bernice's passing. I attend the Harpster United Methodist Church and always
looked forward to seeing her on Sunday's. She was such a sweet lady. I am very glad I got to know her. She used to help cut all the pies at the big dinners we used to have. You have my deepest sympathy.
