Barbara Jean “Bob” (Withrow) Spitzer
Barbara Jean “Bob” (Withrow) SpitzerBarbara Jean “Bob” (Withrow) Spitzer age 82 of LaRue, passed away early Saturday morning January 22, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving and caring family.

She was born February 21, 1928 in LaRue to the late John and Nell (Jones) Withrow, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Meri Jo McGarry, 1 brother: Bennie Withrow and 1 sister: Mary Danner

On August 2, 1946 at the parsonage of the Calvary Church in Marion she married J. Frank Spitzer and he survives, also surviving are 2 daughters: Sue (Fred) Fischbach of Oak Harbor and Mary Frank of Marion, 1 son: Joe (Carol) Spitzer of Urbana

5 grandchildren: Chad, Joel and Judd Spitzer, Russ Frank and Stacey Hayhurst
9 great Grandchildren

Forever Friend: Dorothy Fields of Marion

Bob was a 1946 graduate of the New Bloomington High School; she retired in 1987 from The Whirlpool Corp in Marion, working there over 18 yrs., past member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, where she enjoyed playing euchre and Bingo, she and Frank wintered in Winterhaven, Florida for over 20yrs., while in Florida they would make an occasional trip to the Casinos, which she greatly enjoyed.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 25, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue, where Friends may call Monday from 5-8 pm, Pastor Tim Pasma will officiate, burial will be in the LaRue Cemetery

Memorial Gifts may be made to the LaRue Baptist Church at 217 North High Street LaRue, Ohio 43332 and or the Marion General Hospice at 1000 McKinley Park Dr. Marion, Ohio  43302

Sure am sorry about your Mom. She was a "Speciality" in LaRue. It won't be easy right down for any of you.  Just remember the good times and not the ending time. I think of all of you often.

Mrs. Spitzer was a very special person. She had a way of making you feel good about yourself. Her constant smile and loud laugh was always present. She saw the good in all of us. She helped make our little town a wonderful place to grow up. Thinking of you today and smiling, Bill
