She was a 1945 graduate of Marion Harding High School.  Before her marriage she was personal secretary to Robert T. Mason, President of WMRN.  She loved to share stories of her experiences at the radio station.

Colleen took great pleasure in her children and grandchildren and their activities. As her children were growing up she was at various times a room mother, den mother, Sunday School Teacher, and VBS teacher. Colleen loved nature and the outdoors and considered herself a “country girl”. Stan and Colleen were longtime members of Calvary Baptist Church, Broadway, OH where Colleen was recording secretary and also did the weekly altar arrangements. Most recently, Colleen was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Lakeland, Fl where she and her husband spent the winter months, and Berean Baptist Church, Marion Ohio.

Dear Stan and family,
I am sorry this note is so late in being sent to you.  Be that as it is, my thoughts go with you and your family. Obviously nothing can take the place of a loving mother in the household. Life deals us many blows and we can only stand with the help of a loving God and the words of comfort found in his inspired word. May you continue to find this comfort and peace of mind in his words and promises.- - -Leslie Shuster

Stanley and family, One of my favorite memories of Colleen is that she thought about our children on our first trip to Alaska.  Every day they opened a gift from her. They were so excited to see what the gift was, and enjoyed playing with it or eating it.  Our four children enjoyed that so much. (I was pregnant with Kim) It helped to occupy them during the long trip, as it took us 10 days to get there.  We are praying that the Lord will comfort each of your hearts.  We love you all.  Helen and Verne
