Rita E. ColwellCrossRita E. Colwell, age 50 of Richwood, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  She was born June 30, 1960 in Galion to William and Jeanne (Totten) Jordan.  Her father preceded her in death, her mother survives in Ostrander.

Rita’s love for the Lord was evident throughout her life. She was a beloved member of the Vineyard Church of Marysville.  Rita’s unending selflessness was shown through her occupations in life where she worked as a bus driver in Delaware for Alpha Industries for the mentally challenged for the last 6 years. Prior to that, she was the top server at the former Brown Jug Restaurant in Delaware for over 15 years.  Rita also drove the bus for the Special Olympics in Delaware County.  Rita enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook.  One of her favorite activities was constructing puzzles and she enjoyed Gospel music.  Above all, Rita’s love for God and her family always took top priority in her life. Chuck, Bill,Britt,Sean and Mary Kay, Ritas sudden departure from our world has left us all in shock. You will hear from anyone that was lucky enough to have known her how wonderful and loving she was. Her smile and quirky sence of humor are something I will always remember. I can only say that she raised you kids to be strong and confident and she is not worried about you getting through these days ahead.
She will be the most beautiful angle. And I am sure she'll be runnin' the show.
God Bless you all. He blessed us with Rita.

Dear Chuck and Family,

We are so very sorry to hear of Rita's unexpected death.
We all just wanted you to know how very special she was to all of us.
We were all blessed to have her as a co-worker at "The Jug" for the 13 years that we worked there together.
Rita was always joyful and compassionate, and the love of her Lord and Savior always shined through her beautiful eyes.
She always had an easy going spirit about her and was quick to make a joke or a funny face(crossing her eyes and sticking out her tongue) when things at work would get stressful!!!
Shanna shared the memory of how Rita was always there for her and supported her through her decisions of going to college and law school and how she always shared her witness of Jesus' love with her.
Chuck, she loved you dearly. Kids, she loved you endlessly and was so very proud of each and every one of you. Sibs, she loved each one of you and talked of you often.
Wilma, a special hug for you as you were the only sib I had the pleasure to meet in person.

We pray for your peace and strength in this sorrow.
You know in your heart that Rita is sitting at the feet of Jesus, basking in the light of His glory and love and we pray that you draw comfort from that knowledge.

Love,
The Milcetich Family

My heart aches for your family.  I knew Rita well and always thought she was a wonderful person and friend. I knew her through school and Wilma and I were very close growing up.

I always remember the smile on her face when we would go into the Jug to eat.  She always made sure she was our waitress every Wednesday night during the fair.  All our family would be there that night and everyone just loved her!!!  We all thought she was the best!!!

Our prayers and hugs are with you and we know she is in a better place.  Always remember the fun and good times.  I lost my brother 5 years ago.  I still miss him very much every day.

Sorry we can't be there for you.  We have just moved and Reg is in a new position with his company, but we are with you spiritually and love you all dearly!

Reg and Cherri

To those closest to Rita:
I went to school with Rita at Radnor and BV. She was a dear, sweet friend. I'm so thankful that she touched my life. I just learned of her death today and am so sad; I can't imagine the grief all of you are feeling. I'm glad to know that Rita is in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ, so for her, I am happy. It's for those who are left behind that I'm sad. I pray that the same faith that took Rita to her Savior will comfort all of you at this time and in the days, weeks, months and years to come.
May His peace that surpasses all understanding be yours,
Susan (Reece) Kelley Robinson
