Ruth Ellen Click
Ruth Ellen ClickRuth Ellen Click, age 95 of Prospect, died Monday afternoon February 23, 2009 at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.  She was born May 4, 1913 in Norwalk to the late Darwin P. and Pearl E. (Morrow) Eastman.

On August 11, 1935 she married Harold A. Click, and he died Sept 18, 1989.  She was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard L. and Dwain J. Click and a sister, Hazel Schak.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University, she was a school teacher in Elgin School District for 20 years, retiring in 1976.  Ruth was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church, where she taught Sr. High Sunday School, sang in the choir and was involved with the missionary circle.  She was also a member of the Jolly Joyster Club, Marion City/County Retired Teachers Assn., Ohio Retired Teachers Assn., Searchlight Literary Club and Bethlehem Grange.  She enjoyed gardening and knitting and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.  More than anything, she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy K. (Ron) Schultz, Prospect and daughter-in-law, Dianna Click, Marion; granddaughter, Nancy (Gary) Wicker and their children, Brandie, Taryn, Zane and Kayla; granddaughter, Suzy (Mike) Sayer and their children, Tim, Arika, Andrew and Matthew; step-granddaughter, Monica Adkins and her children, Josh and Rhiannion; step-grandson Lance Johnson and his children Michael and Jennifer; step-granddaughter, Tammy (Chad) Beveridge and their children, Kristal, Kisten and Ashley; and 10 step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood where friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday.  Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.  Rev. J. Patrick Street will officiate.

Memorial gifts may be made to Fulton Creek Friends Church Building Fund, 10950 Fulton Creek Road, Richwood, Ohio  43344 or Salem Evangelical Church, 232 E. Church Street, Marion, Ohio  43302.

I recall teaching at Prospect High with Ruth.  Always appreciated her help and advice.  Her son Dick was in several of my classes.  A great family.  Please accept my sympathies for your loss.  She had a great, productive life.

I have such good memories of your Mother.  She and my Mother were good friends.  And I also remember the 4-H days spent with her.  My prayers are with you.
