I was so saddened to hear of Cousin Martha's passing. She was a wonderful woman.  I first met Martha and her sister Ruth while travelling in Ohio to discover my family roots.  I stopped and visited with Martha and Ruth at their home on the farm.  We shared a passion for genealogy and so we began helping each other with our family history.  The last visit I had with Martha and Ruth was at their Kingston apt. They were expecting me and sat with their chairs facing the door and as I came in they were all smiles. Martha had arranged a surprise for me, a visit with our mutual friend, Mary Carr. We had a wonderful visit.  My husband best described both Martha and Ruth as "precious jewels". I appreciate the time, although too short, that I had to know Martha.  Sincerely, Judith Churchill, 4th cousin

Dear Pauline and Family,
I just read of the loss of Martha and I send you my love and sympathy.
My father, Earnest Converse, was a cousin of Martha and he and my uncle LaMoyne Converse often spoke of her and how much they admired her. Since they are both now deceased I have lost contact with your late husband's branch of the family. I know Martha was very good in collecting family genealogy and wish I could have talked with her when she was well.
If you have the opportunity and want to write me, I now live at 8057 Lancaster-New Lexington Rd., Bremen, OH 43107, I would love to hear from you.
Our family is thinking of yours.
Sincerely,
Donna Converse Lawrence

Aunt Pauline and Cousins:  I have wonderful memories of your Aunt Martha - especially at Halloween and trick or treating at her house.  I remember she was an excellent seamstress and she ALWAYS had a smile on her face.  I will keep you all in my prayers and may her memories sustain you in this time of sadness.

To Martha's family: I am very sorry to hear of her
passing. Years ago, my late wife and I visited with her several times when we were doing a trip
regarding genealogy in Ohio (Union Co ) She, Ruth and her father helped us locate the old Gearhart
property locations. I am a third cousin.
