Dick Dunkle, also known as my grandpa.I'm josalynn weikle daughter of candy and christopher weikle. I am here today to tell you about my life with my grandpa. His grandchildern was his pride and joy! Starting out as a grandchild of 7 I was the only little girl, I was his little sweet pea! My mom and her other two sisters always said that I replaced them as being his only little girls, they had to make room for me being one out of five of his girls. I remember him as the goofy old man! He always had something to laugh about or something to remember. One time at his old house I remember him giving me a shower bath, he told me a storys about him giving  his daughters shower baths as well! My favorite activity to do with my grandpa was when he took his grandchildern out for there  birthdays to the place that we pick to eat! When he started to get sick and in the hospital I would come in and he would say "just the girl I wanted to see! can you rub my feet" I would always be his little massagetherapist! He went through this sickness for a very long time, fighting every single day, it was a struggle to live for him. Now that he has paced away i think he is now his old self, I hope that he is looking down on me being proud and happy about what my life is coming to be. He is now with my grandma and in peace with God. i miss him so much! I pray for God to keep grandpa in our thoughts, dreams, smiles, and laughter. Most of all keep him in our life to keep our day bright and our minds full of wonderful thoughts! I miss him I love him may he rest in peace!

love always and forever you little girl josalynn (sweet pea)

My heartfelt sympathy to the family. Dick was a good friend, a swell guy, working with him @ Nickle's. We bowled together on tuesday nights at starlanes for years after eating supper at the ponderosa first. WE also went to tournaments together. We shared many pleasant memories that will remain with me for ever. After we both retired, we spoke by phone occasionally. He always teased me that kroger in delaware was running out of bread :-)all in good fun!!!!
Rest in peace ol'pal- someday we will be together again.

What a sad day Saturday was for me when I found out that my cousin Richard had passed away. He was truly a wonderful man.  The last time I saw Richard was At Our Aunt Pauline's birthday party in Dayton, Oh. That has been at least 5 or 6 years ago. At the time he looked and seemed pretty good.  All of us Antle cousins would get together for our yearly cousins party.  Boy did we have fun.  Richard always had plenty of good and bad jokes to tell.  We all loved to laugh and have a good time.  We would tell stories on each other.  Gary, Craig and David, Richard's daughters and grandchildern I'm am so sorry for your loss.  I'm also sorry that we won't be able to come, because of the weather.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love you Richard,
Your cousin Becky

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.  When I was little, I always knew Dick as Dick the Nickles Bread Man....he used to deliver bread to the grocery in Mt. Victory and he seemed to always be there when I was.  He'd buy me a piece of candy and always was in a good mood!  When I first moved to Richwood and worked @ the Cardinal, I was glad to see he was our bread man there too!!  After all of the years, he remembered me from Mt. Victory. By this point, he was looking forward to retiring and traveling.  He enjoyed his familiy and the people around him!!  He will be missed.

I was so sorry to hear about my big cousin Richard.  I have such fond memories of him and of all my Dunkle cousins: Gary, Craig and David.  Our Mom's were so always so close and made sure we all knew how important we were to each other.  Unfortunately, life takes us in different directions and we can't stay as close as we would like, but that special feeling we have will always be always held close in our hearts.  Richard was loved by so many people.  There is no greater legacy than that.  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends at this very difficult time.  But, be assured he is with God and with his loved ones in Heaven.  With love, from your little cousin, Pammy.

I met Dick when I was 16 years old working at the Richwood Cardinal store. I can remember him coming in being ornery.  Then my grandma Pete and him started dating and that is when he became a part of our life.  Dick has been a great grandpa to my 2 kids and a very good man to my grandma.  I will miss the days when him and grandma would drive around town in the yellow golf cart with the funny horn and his crazy wheelchair driving at the Civic Center.  He was a great guy.  I am sorry for your loss and your families will be in our prayers.  We will miss you Dick and my family is surely grateful that he was a part of our lives. Im glad we had the pleasures of meeting your family.

God Bless
Brian, Randi, Arin and Brayden
