My heart is very sad and my eyes are wet with tears to hear of Aunt Polly's death. As a niece I am very happy to have known Polly. She was a favorite aunt and although I did not see her much I enjoyed the times that we had together during her life from the time that I was little to now as an adult. Polly was always happy and fun to be with and a woman of faith and wisdom. Just two years ago this month my sister Carol and I enjoyed having Polly with us on a Mediterranean Cruise. We had such a good time. I am so glad we were able to enjoy our time together, laughing together and enjoying life. I can remember times we spent together during the two years that my husband and I lived in Ohio, getting together for breakfast once a month with Ben and Polly. We had so much fun. They even took us to their burial plots to see where they would be buried. Many other memories come to mind such as when my sisters and I went to Florida to visit you. I love you Polly so much and will miss you. I know that you are where there is no pain and you are in a peaceful place with our Lord, Hallelujah!
Your Niece, Ruth

Our deepest sympathies are with you during this time. I remember, as a child, visiting at the homestead on Snare Road. I was very young, but can still vaguely recall the joy in the household, and the fun I had being there with everyone. Rest assured, Polly has joined Ben and our Lord in His heavenly garden as a reward for her deeds here on earth. May God bless you and console you with His everlasting grace, Rev. Dr. Randy Dirk Cheney

My memories of Polly are good ones. Ones of happiness and laughter.  I always enjoyed being with Polly 'cause she knew how to laugh and loved playing games.  I had the wonderful privilege of going to the Mediterranean with her 2 years ago, and also visiting her in her winter home in Florida.  She was  a favorite aunt even though I wasn't around her much in my life time.  Sadness fills my heart as she has left this world but I know that she and Ben are having a party in heaven now.  She has no more pain and has a NEW body in Christ.  I love you Polly and we will meet again where I know you will be waiting for us. Your Niece, Carol

Polly was an aunt that I didn't spend a lot of time with but I felt that I got to know her pretty well the last few years since she started sending me e mails.  She always somehow knew when I needed some encouragement and picked just the right message to lift me up many times.  I hope that I can grow to be as strong in my faith as she was and that I may make a differance for others like she did for me.
I shared Polly's e mails with my grandsons many times and they enjoyed them also.
I am a nurse also and when Polly gave me the precious moments  "Love Bears all things"  it really meant a lot to me.
I will miss her but I am sure that she is keeping the humor going in Heaven.

I got to be around Polly 2 years ago when my son and I went to see Mom and Dad in FL.Polly you are a blessing to me.Thank you for the memories, Prayers to the family, your niece. Peggy

Aunt Polly will truly be missed.  I really loved her being a part of our family.  My earliest remembrances of her were from Arthur, IL and I remember her room in Grandma's house.  Then her marriage to Ben in Ohio which I had the privilege of attending.  She was a kind person and always had something good to say to me and her sense of humor was wonderful.  She will always be my "Aunt Potty" and will be missed.  Love, Tony

I got to know Polly in Florida about 3 years ago.  I am also a winter resident there. We attended the same church.  We enjoyed eating out, & playing cards.  Polly & I laughed & cried together. She was always an encouragement to me no matter what was going on.  She asked me to go with her to choose a wig for her, because they told her she might lose her hair. I was looking forword to meeting again this fall.  The Lord had other plans for her.  Her leaving makes me sad, but I have many happy memories of her.  Polly you will be missed by all.  Dorothy

Aunt Polly was my father's (Simon) younger sister by about two years.  My dad only had fond things to say of his baby sister.  Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to meet her once when she visited with Uncle Ben while on vacation to Washington State.  She was very gracious and easy to talk with.

Polly lived to the end with courage, endurance, faith and hope.  For Polly, healing was not recovery from the illness, rather the completion of a life, the fullness of faith and the hope of eternity.  Blessings and sympathy to her loving family especially Jeff, John, Edna and Jacquie who with her Florida friends shared their love and presence through the last weeks. This is a sad time for all who knew Polly.  I'll always remember how kind she was to me when I was a new bride in an unfamiliar culture.  My sympathy goes out to all the family.

My memories of Aunt Polly are all pleasant. I will miss her and her laugh. She was jolly and had a gentle quiet spirit. I'm glad for the opportunities I had to spend time with her. She called to let me know she was in Atlantic City back in the 1990's and we met her there for pizza. In June 1999 I took Aunt Polly to the Otto Reunion and I was so thankful for the time we spent traveling together. She was very open about her growing up days. Aunt Polly had a strong faith and it gives me comfort to know that she is with the Lord. She was very loving to all who knew her.
I'll miss her, especially when I'm where we were together. She traveled across country alone but she knew the Lord was with her so she wasn't scared or lonely.Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15

We are so sorry to learn of Aunt Polly's passing.  Our prayer is that the Lord's blessing and comfort is felt by all who mourn Polly's death.  We appreciate the spiritual leadership and demonstrated faith of Eli/Edna, Jeff/Leah, and John/Edna Otto...your updates, prayers, and thoughts are a blessing to us as we seem to be avid sojourners.
