Geraldine M. “Gerry” Hecker
Geraldine M. “Gerry” HeckerCrossGeraldine M. “Gerry” Hecker, 70, of Prospect went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 22, 2008 at her home after an extended illness.  She was born March 3, 1938 in Marion to the late George and Irene (Lane) Good.

She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church and was a 1956 graduate of Prospect High School.  Gerry was retired as the office manager for Dr. Joseph Stanko in Prospect.  She loved being a grandmother and staying involved with her grandkids’ activities.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carl Hecker, whom she married June 21, 1957; a son, Tim (Nicole) Lemire-Hecker, Prospect; 3 daughters, Linda (Jay) Lehman, Marion; Karla Burgess, Prospect; Judy (Jeff) Shawver, Prospect; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy and Justin Lehman, Brittany Lemire, Jessica Burgess, Alexis and Madison Shawver; 2 brothers, Robert Good and Richard Good, both of Inverness, Florida, and many more family and friends.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Good and a grandson, Jacob Shawver

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. David L. Hoffman officiating.  Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect.

We are so very sorry about your loss.  Gerry was a special lady.  She never failed to smile and speak when she'd run into you.  She'll be missed by all.  Take care of yourselves and be there for each other during this difficult time.  You'll be in our thoughts and prayers.  God be with you.

I just read in the Richwood paper about the passing of Gerry.  I was so sorry to read this and wanted to send the family our sympathy.  Tim, I remember when you and Chad had some fun times together. That was a long time ago.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
