Dean E. Leibold
Dean E. LeiboldFlagDean E. Leibold,  age 88, formerly of LaRue, died Wednesday February 27, 2008 at 11:35 PM at Summerville at Outlook Manor in Westerville, Ohio.

He was born December 12, 1919 in Union County to the late John William and Ethel (Dodge) Leibold.  On December 31 1941 he married Ardith Waters and she died October 19, 2004.

He is survived by three daughters; Donna (Jim) Volkert of Delaware, Mary Jane (Charlie) Fitzpatrick of Westerville, Barb Turley of Dublin; three sons; Rick (Sheila) Leibold of Marion, Michael (Diane) Leibold of Marion, and John (Patty) Leibold of Canal Winchester; 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great  Grandchildren.  One sister; Dorothy E. (Sam) Allen of Canal Winchester,  three sisters-in law; Bernice Leibold of Marysville, Ruth Leibold of Richwood, and Melissa Leibold of Columbus.

He is predeceased by one daughter;Betty Jean Leibold and three brothers; William, James, and John Leibold.

Mr. Leibold was a self employed farmer, was in Agri-Sales for Standard Oil of Indiana, Veteran of WW II in the Army, member of the Crosswood Methodist Church, Farm Bureau Council, and attended Ohio Wesleyan University.

Funeral Services will be held Monday March 3, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.  Minister will be the Rev. Stephen N. Rath.  Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday.  Graveside Military rites will be conducted by the Marion Area Veterans Council at the Cemetery.
