Marion Griffith
MasonryRetired standardbred trainer-driver Marion Griffith, 76, died
Friday, May 16, 1997 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper
Sandusky. He trained horses at Marion and Richwood
Fairgrounds and was second trainer for the Bob Farrington
Stable.
The son of Elmor E. and Fannie Hite Griffith, was born April
30, 1921 in Richwood. For several years he served with the
Seebees in Hawaii. He was a former Ashland Oil Distributor in
Marion and member of Ihe United States Trotting Association, the
Ohio.Hurness Horsemen's Association and Masonic Lodge.
Surviving is a son Dennis Roush of Marion. Three brothers preceded
him in death.
Ballingcr Funeral Home was in charge of cremation arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Matinee
Club.
