Henrietta Jacobs-March 20, 1988
RICHWOOD - Henrietta Mae Jacobs, 79, 113 E. Blagrove St., died Sunday morning in MedCenter Hospital, Marion.
She was born in Prospect July 5, 1908, a daughter of Dayton R. and Grace McWherter Hedges.
A homemaker, Mrs. Jacobs was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church, Mount Olive Grange, Prospect and Richwood senior citizens, Farm Bureau Council 14, a charter member of Thrifty Stitchers and a past president of the Methodist Women Society. She also had served as 4-H leader in York Township for many years.
Her husband, Carl L. Jacobs, whom she married Oct. 11, 1930, survives.
Also surviving are six sons, KODert L., Hilliard, Richard D., Bryan, William R., Tyler, Texas, Charles R., Prospect, James R., Little Hocking, and Jerry, Garrettsville; four daughters, Mrs. Larry (Janet) Dunn, Marysville, Mrs. Paul (Joanne) Tevis, Prospect, Mrs. Richard (Jean) Plotner, Byhalia, Mrs. Ron (Rebecca) Rynders, Abilene, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Kenny (Dorothy June) McVicker, Mount Clemens, Mich.; 30 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A brother and a grandchild preceded her in death.
The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Prospect UM Church with the Rev. Gerald Frazee officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call at Stofcheck Funeral Home after 2 p.m. and in the evening Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
