Mary Elizabeth Fown, 65, 1155 Richwood-LaRue Road, LaRue, died Thursday March 14, 1996 at Marion General Hospital.
Born March 20,1930, in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Emmett J. and Gertrude K. (Rohr) Miller. On Feb. 4, 1950, she married Donald R. Fown, and he survives. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, LaRue. She is also survived by five sons, Harmon D., , Thomas D. and Timothy D. Fown, all LaRue, Don D. Fown, Claridon, and Michael D. Fown, Marion; three daughters, Donna Jordan, Prospect, Linda D. Boles, LaRue, and Joan D. Shirk, Green Camp; two brothers, James A. Miller, LaRue, and Charles R. Miller, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a grandson. A funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Losh officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, where rosary services will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
