Genevieve (Corbin) Everett
MARION — Genevieve (Corbin) Everett, 88, 235 Blaine' Ave. Marion, died Tuesday, Aug. 5,1997, at 4:40 p.m. at East Lawn Manor in Marion.
She was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Green Camp Township to the late Joshua and Mary (Cummins) Corbin. On Nov. 28,1942, she married Ivan Everett and he died Nov. 29,1994.
Mrs. Everett was a retired school teacher. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, she taught first and second grades at LaRue (Elgin West) for 43 years. She was a member of the Marion County Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma.    
She is survived by brother-in-law Robert Everett, New Bloomington; nieces and nephews, Nancy E. Hafer, LaRue, Beverly Chapman, New Washington, Vivian Elliott, Morgan Imbody, Marvin I. Imbody, Phyllis Fleming and Joan Brown all of Marion, Norma Wasserbeck, Prospect, Jack Corbin, Mt. Gilead, Margaret Allen, Green Camp and Patricia Caudill, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 8, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister is the Rev. John H. Dean. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday.
Those who wish may make contributions to Elgin West Elementary School and/or the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
