Rex L. Rodgers
Rex L. Rodgers, 81, of Prospect, died Friday evening (Dec. 5, 1997) at Winter-song Village Nursing Facility, Delaware.
He was bom Feb. 16, 1916 in Delaware County, to Clarence E. Rodgers and Ruby (Patingale) Rodgers. He was a graduate of Bellpoint High School, where, he played on the varsity basketball team.
Mr. Rodgers retired in 1978 from Marion Power Shovel Co. He worked there 35 years and was foreman of the tool shop. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church, K. of P. Lodge in Prospect, and Prospect Lodge No. 444, F.&A.M. He also was active with Prospect Senior Citizens and was a member of Mill Creek Golf Club.      
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law-Bob and Judi Rodgers of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Tbm and Veronica Rodgers of Fountain Valley, Calif; a daughter and son-in-law. Joyce and Joseph Timmons of Honolulu; 10 dren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Darlene Rodgers of Delaware; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law Winifred and Robert Orahood of Delaware, Isabelle and Chester Scott of Marion, and Betty Wilcox of South Daytona Beach, Fla. His wife of 60 years, Winifred Marie (Thomas) Rodgers, died June 6,1997.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with Masonic ser-vices at 8:45 p.m., at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood. Funeral services will foe held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Prospect UMC, with the Rev. David L. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Radnor Cemetery. -
Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect UMC Memorial Fund, 203 N. Elm St., Prospect 43342.
