Mildred Mae Fields
Mildred Mae Fields, 90, of Richwood died Monday, May 18,1998, at Med Center Hospital in Marion.
She was an organist and played at many area churches and at the Plaza Inn in Mount Victory for more than 20 years. She was a seamstress and a member of the Former Grace Chapel and of the Richwood Civic Center and its Kitchen Band which she directed for several years.
She was bom Feb. 8, 1908, in Gilboa to the late William and Bertha Thompson Archer. She married Dwight Fields July 18, 1929, and he died March 8, 1973.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat (Lowell) Baker of West Mansfield; two grandchildren, Alan (Sandy) Baker of Marysville and Robert Baker of West Mansfield; and two great-grandchildren, Alison and Madison.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Byhalia United Methodist Church. The Revs. Wayne Engle and John Swann will officiate and burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Civic Center Kitchen Band, 235 Grove St., Richwood.
