LARUE — Helen Anna Palmer, age 75, of 3128 LaRue Marseilles Road, LaRue, died Tuesday, June 30,1998, at 10:52 a.m. at the Marion General Hospital emergency department.
She was born Aug. 6,1922, at Moorefield, Ohio, to the late Chester A. and Ruth (Mills) Cramblett. On Aug. 3,1947, she married Kay L. Palmer, and he died Dec. 12,1992. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1940 and the Cameron School of Cosmetology in Columbus. She worked at a beauty shop in Dover, Ohio, later Rogers Beauty Shop in Marion, and then ran her own shop at home for about 15 years. She was a member of the Business Women's Sorority in Marion. She is survived by one son, David A. (Sue) Palmer of LaRue; one daughter, Lynn M. (John) Corbin of LaRue; four grandchildren, Julie (Aaron) Benson of Marion, Brian M. Corbin, Douglas R. Palmer and Kaitlain Palmer, all of LaRue; two sisters, Marjorie Wolf of Lore City, Ohio, and Mrs. Freda (William) McCartney of Chardon, Ohio. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Joanne A. Powers. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. Those who wish may make contributions to the American Cancer Society..
