Paul E. Cowgill
Flag Paul E. Cowgill, 80, of the Masonic Village in Springfield died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Community Hospital in Springfield. He was it for state resi-dence of Upper Arlington and  Richwood. DECEASED
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a prisoner of war. He was retired in 1984 after 37 years in the construction industry and was a member of the Richwood First United Methodist Church, Triangle 748 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple Shrine and Rich-wood Civic Center. He was also a member of American Ex-Prisoners of War, American Legion Baccarat Post 40 and VFW Post 870 in Richwood, D. A. V. #55 Union County and the 80th Division Veterans Association.  He was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Jackson Township, Union County, to the late Elmer E. and Callie Stultz Cowgill and was predeceased by a sister, Vera Cowgill Clark; and on Feb. 20, 1998, by his wife, Jane Anders Cowgill whom he married Sept. 27, 1942.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Sharon) Cowgill Sr. of Enon and Gregory (Sarah) Cowgill of Fairfax, Va.; two grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Tin-gley of Enon and Jeffrey Cowgill Jr. of Fairborn; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Jacob Tingley; a niece, Theresa Clark; and two sisters-in-law, Marjory Moon of DeWitt, Iowa, and Mary Adams Smith of Gainesville, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Joseph Rhea will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery where veterans services will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion posts of Richwood. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 18 S. Fulton St., Richwood, or the Richwood Civic Center, 235 Grove St., Richwood.
