Christie Ann Clark Smith
Christie Ann Clark Smith, 53, of rural Richwood died Monday, March 7,
2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends following
a long battle with inflammatory breast cancer.
She was retired as a licensed practical nurse and had worked at the
Woodstock Care Center for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, listening to
the Beatles, especially Paul McCartney, and was a dedicated and devoted
wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend. She lived what she
believed.
She was born March 12, 1951, in Columbus to Charles H. and Margaret
Catherine Mesi Clark Jr. and was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Cora
Lowery.
She is survived by her father of Richwood; her husband, Dale Smith whom
she married April 6, 1974; children, Kevin Dale (Brooks Price) Smith and
Alison Elizabeth Smith of Richwood; stepdaughters, Belinda Kay (Steven)
Smith-Munday of Richwood, Kimberly Lynn Smith of Hilliard and Pat
(Allen) Rolczynski of North Dakota; grandchildren and
step-grandchildren, Jayden Carlo Smith, Jordan Paige Smith, Dawson Lake
Smith and Josh, Thomas, Sara and Aaron Rolczynski; brothers, Charles H.
(Jo) Clark III of Marysville and Jeff (Alane) Clark of Richwood; nephew
and niece, Anthony (Tony) Michael Clark and Melissa Nicole Clark; a
godchild, Angela Nicole Smith-Martin; brothers- and sisters-in-law,
Glora Jane Beckett, Jackson E. Smith, Joann (David) Kincaid, Connie
(Bill) Toller, J.R. (Diana) Smith, Mary (Steve) Turner and Danny
(Monica) Smith; and caregivers, Victoria Simon, Cheryl Lang and Debbie
Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral
Home in Richwood. The Rev. David A. Poliafico will officiate and a
private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call
from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Loving Care Hospice, 113 S. Main
St., Marysville, or a charity of the donor's choice.
