Kenneth Friend Sr.
DECLIFF - -  Kenneth Friend Sr. age 64, of DeCliff, died at 10:45 am. Monday, July 16,2007, at his residence.
He was born April 20,1943, in Ironton, to the late Elroy and Dorothy (Barnhart) Friend Sr.
On Nov. 9,1961, he married Jennie R. Besco and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kenneth (Carmen) Friend Jr., Camie (Donald) Laird and Kimberley (Tedd) Oldham all three of LaRue and Jeanne (Todd) Clement of Kenton. His grandchildren are Richard (Jenna) Holcomb, Tiffany (Delbert) Roberts, Brandy White, Trisha (Lee) Lanier, Rosemary Holcomb, Jennifer (Brock) Whitehead, Tanya Oldham, Kevin Lee Miller, Toy (Michael) Pendleton, Mandy Clement, Katie Friend and Nikki Friend. Great-grandchildren are Alex Holcomb, Sammy Lanier, Mason Whitehead and Aiden Pendleton. Brothers and sisters are Elroy (Garnett) Friend of Waterloo, Everett (Dorothy) Friend, John (Mary Louise) Friend, Danny Friend, all of LaRue, Darlene Endicott of Marion, Reba (Merle)

LaRue, Gerald Straight of LaRue, Janie Mason of Brookville, Linda (John) Miller and Quincy (Linda) Besco, both of Ironton; mother-in-law, Frances Besco of Ironton; many special nieces, nephews, and friends; and special family, Larry Jay, Amber Mason and Denise and Greg Lawson. He was preceded in death by stepfather Harley Blagg; great-granddaughter Alyssa Holcomb; brother Clarence Friend; sister Hester Mae Straight; sister-in-law Naomi Friend; and brother-in-law, Otto Endicott.
He was retired from. Streetwise Auto where he worked as a mechanic. Member of the Espyville Church. Dedication to his family and his grandchildren was his life.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be Pastor Herb Jordan. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in LaRue.
Due to allergies in family, it is requested that no flowers be sent.
Those who wish may make contributions to a Church of the donor's choice or Channel 39.
