Donald Clyde Poland
Donald Clyde Poland, 77, of Prospect, formerly of Richwood, died Friday
morning, March 9, 2007, at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
A 1947 graduate of Ridgeway High School, he was a retired farmer. He
also was retired from the B.F. Goodrich Company in Green Camp where he
worked for 30 years.
He was a member of the Fulton Creek Evangelical Friends Church, Farm
Bureau, West Mansfield Lions Club and enjoyed woodworking and gardening
He was a pillar of strength for his family which he loved deeply.
He was born July 1, 1929, in Hardin County, to the late Clyde Irvin and
Jennie Mae Ansley Poland. He was first married to Phyllis Jean Mouser on
June 5, 1948, and she died Feb. 9, 1982. He also was predeceased by two
daughters, Judy Mae Dennis and Deborah Kay Dreher, and two sisters,
Marilyn McElree and Anna Mae Modd.
On June 20, 1999, he married Glena Kathryn Moss, and she survives in
Prospect. Also surviving are three daughters, Victoria Lynn (Arnold)
Eizensmits of Grapevine, Texas, Terri Jean (Roger) Bugg of Richwood, and
Cathy Jo (Donald) Goden of Brevard, N.C.; sons-in-law, William Dennis of
Howell, Mich., and Daniel Dreher of Marion; grandchildren, Brian
(Jennifer) Eizensmits, Michael Eizensmits, Dane (Lori) Dreher, Deanna
(Greg) Urasek, Derrick (Jennifer) Dreher, Ryan (Jennifer) Bugg, Scott
Bugg, Mark Bugg, Alexander Goden and Kyle Dennis; three
great-grandchildren; a brother, Maurice Alvin (Patricia) Poland of
Findley; and a sister, Clara Margaret Garman of Kenton.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home,
Richwood. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Fulton
Creek Evangelical Friends Church with Pastor Joe Kirby officiating.
Burial will be at the Byhalia Cemetery.
Mr. Poland's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 10950 Fulton Creek
Road, Richwood, OH 43344.
